FitnessPilot operates the FitnessPilot fitness and diet planning platform accessible at fitnesspilot.app. We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to provide and improve the Service:

• Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account (via Google Sign-In or email).
• Profile data: Age, gender, height, weight, target weight, fitness level, weekly schedule, physical limitations, and fitness goals — provided during onboarding.
• Activity data: Workout completions, food diary entries, and weight log entries you add while using the app.
• Billing information: Subscription plan and status. Payment card details are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and are never stored on our servers.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction events (collected via Google Analytics using standard GA4 events). No personally identifiable information is attached to analytics events.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device type, collected automatically when you access the Service.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Generate and display your personalised fitness and diet plan.
• Power the AI Coach with context about your programme.
• Show your progress charts and statistics.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Send transactional emails (e.g. receipts, account notices). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• Improve the Service through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: To deliver the Service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: To operate, maintain, and improve the platform safely.
• Consent: Where we ask for explicit consent (e.g. optional communications).
• Legal obligation: Where required by applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and plan data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g. financial records for up to 7 years).

Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot identify you.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and session cookies to maintain your state between pages. We use Firebase Analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect the functionality of the app.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).

• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, and Firebase authentication tokens. While we take security seriously, no system is entirely risk-free. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

10. Children's Privacy

FitnessPilot is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice.
